Arboretum Wespelaar is OPEN again on Wednesdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm, until Wednesday, November 13th. Groups are also welcome on other days on request (with guide). For more practical informations, please go to "Contact and visits".

Mmm, the limetree season has begun ! Bees and bumble-bees are clearly in their element. On the Magnolia Meadow, you will surely come across one of the flowering limetrees. Stand underneath them and listen to the excited buzzing. In the Werner Wood, our x Chitalpa tashkentensis is flowering early this year. It is a bizarre crossing between Catalpa bignonioides (Indian-bean-tree) and Chilopsis linearis (desert-willow), made by Professor Russanov in Uzbekistan. It is flowering beautifully with purple flowers resembling those of Catalpa. In the Verlat Wood, the understory with perennial plants is developing well.

This leaflet will guide you around in the Arboretum (also available at the reception).
